Lesson Abstract

During this lesson, students will choreograph their own dance by layering several different dance elements.  

​

• They will recall the movement portion of the Korean Folktale ‘The Sun and Moon,’ especially locomotor and non-locomotor movement.  

• They will add additional layers to their choreography - pathways will be added on to locomotor movement, and feeling will be added on to non-locomotor movement.  

• The feeling is integral to Korean Dance and the students have had discussion sessions in previous classes. Students will work on their worksheet by themselves.  

• They will draw their pathway and circle the feeling they want to express.  

• Then, some students will demonstrate their movement and other students will analyze the movement.  

•  The students will perform in next lesson.
