Rhythm within Us

: Analyzing Movement Preference and Developing a Choreography

Research Abstract:

 

"Everybody is a dancer. All of us have the body as a tool to express and communicate." 

 

In this project, I worked with a 'non-dancer' who had never been to a dance studio in his life. During our six-month journey, we talked, laughed, and danced. We started from our own unique inner rhythm and movement preference, which built up to a harmony of dance. This shows how dance can be a tool for communication and how it brings an authentic experience to our lives.
